This fantastic apprenticeship will enable you to gain valuable work experience, study for a professional accountancy qualification that’s recognised worldwide and earn an attractive salary.

From providing strategic business advice to auditing financial statements to driving mergers and acquisitions, a career as an Accountancy / Taxation Professional can be diverse and challenging - it's not just about putting numbers into a spreadsheet.

From day one you’ll find out what it's like to work in a fast-paced, exciting business environment. And BT will also sponsor you to complete the relevant Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification.

As an Accountancy / Taxation Professional you’ll be required to act in the public interest and must therefore uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and competency, maintaining ethical behaviour and integrity. You’ll need to be comfortable working with numbers and have strong problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills are also important, as you'll need to be able to influence people to make the right decisions.

Training & support

Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught job specific skills such as building relationships, business insight, communication skills, ethics and integrity, leadership, problem solving and decision making.

You’ll also receive the assistance of mentors who will help you develop your capabilities as well as study leave so you can focus on excelling in your CIMA examinations.
