How do I set up a Direct Debit?

For convenience, you can switch to paying your bill automatically by Direct Debit. There are two types of Direct Debit you can set up:

  • Whole Bill Direct Debit - Automatically pay the whole of each bill when it's due by Direct Debit. We give the date on your bill when we'll collect payment (which will be a minimum of eight days after the bill date)
  • Monthly Payment Plan - Spread the cost of your bills over the year by paying a set amount each month by Direct Debit, on the day you choose. You'll need to pass a credit check before you can get a Monthly Payment Plan

To set up a Whole Bill Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan, log in (or sign up) at and follow the Set up automatic payments link.

You'll need the following account details handy:

  • Your bank or building society account number
  • Your sort code
  • The account holder's name

You can find this information on your debit card or bank statement.


Information for customers who don’t pay by Whole Bill Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan

Customers who don’t pay by Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan will need to take Line Rental Plus. This is an enhanced version of line rental that offers additional features.
