In 2019, we announced that we were the first major broadband provider to introduce annual price changes in line with the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation published in January each year by the Office for National Statistics. This change is across our broadband, landline and mobile products.
If you signed up to a new contract for a BT Landline (including call charges, features and plans), BT Broadband or BT Mobile between 11 January 2019 and 16 January 2020, the monthly price will increase each year from March 2020.
From 17 January 2020, if you sign up to a new contract for a landline (including call charges, features and plans) the monthly price will increase every year from March 2020. If you sign up to a new contract for broadband or mobile, the monthly price will increase every year from March 2021. That increase will be based on the Consumer Price Index Rate of inflation.
We’re writing to all of our customers between 10 February and 19 March 2020, with a breakdown of the individual prices that are changing
You can also see how this affects your bill by visiting bt.com/prices for details.
This change doesn’t affect the price you pay for your TV and Sport from us.
If you signed up to a new contract with BT on or after 1 September 2020, new rates apply.
