Get ready for BT Sport

Get ready for BT Sport

Here's a checklist:

1. Place your order

The first step is to make sure you've ordered BT Sport. The cheapest way to watch BT Sport is as part of a BT TV package. You need to order BT Sport by visiting www.btcom.ll-digital-sandbx1.bt.com/sport >

If you're a BT Broadband customer and you just want to watch BT Sport online or via the app (not via TV), you'll still need to place an order, then activate it. To activate, just log in to My BT online, click on BT Sport and follow the instructions.

2. Have your BT ID ready

You'll need this to log in.

3. Get ready to download the BT Sport App

Watching on a smartphone or tablet?

Download the BT Sport App from the Windows Store, Apple App Store, or the Google Play Store.

Watching on a smart TV, games console or connected device?

Search for BT Sport in the app store and download to start watching.

Please bear in mind that only the account holder's BT ID can be used to log in to the app and online player.

4. Check your home browser

To get the best experience when watching the online player, we recommend that the computer you're using should be no older than 4 years. This will mean that you get all the enhanced features of the online player. However the minimum recommended specifications required are:

  • Dual-core 2.0 gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor
  • 2 GB of RAM minimum

There are two video players on the BT Sport website:

  1. The Enhanced Player, available for Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Rugby Union, MotoGP, and Boxing
  2. The Standard Player, available at all times

You can find out more about the additional features available on, the enhanced BT Sport video player here >

Both versions of the BT Sport Player will work on the following operating systems and browsers:

Windows PCs (running Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10)

  • Internet Explorer 11 (recommended)
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Firefox v.45 and above
  • Google Chrome v.50 and above

The Standard Player also works on Windows 7, but the Enhanced Player doesn't.

Mac (running OS X 10.8 or above)

  • Safari 8 or above
  • Firefox v.45 and above
  • Google Chrome v.50 and above
