The disposable email address service is an old feature, originally introduced to help protect you from spam. In recent years our anti-spam capabilities have improved significantly and we’ve seen a decline in the use of this service.

Due to some changes we're making to our email service, we'll be removing this feature in June 2020. If you use this service, you should have received an email confirmation from us.
What does this mean?
It’s no longer possible to create or amend an existing disposable email address.
You can continue to send and receive emails from your disposable email addresses right up until we close the service in June 2020. You won't receive any new emails after this date.
What should you do?
If you’ve not already done so, we strongly recommend you provide new contact details to the companies and organisations you use disposable email addresses with ASAP.
You’ll find a list of all the disposable email addresses you’ve set up in your email Settings. You’ll find the link for this by clicking the cog icon in the top right hand corner. Select More settings and then Mailboxes.
You may also wish to delete any email addresses you no longer use.
Remember, you can create up to 11 email addresses on your BT email account. If you have any spare, you could use one of these to hide your true identity when using online services.
We're sorry for any inconvenience caused by the loss of this feature.
You can delete any disposable email address you've created if you want to stop receiving emails sent to it.
- Hover your mouse over the Settings menu icon (the 'Cog' icon) and select Settings
- Click Security
- Select the disposable email address you want to delete
- Click Remove
- Click OK to confirm
The disposable email address will be deleted and emails sent to that address will no longer be received.
To send a message from a disposable email address:
- Open a draft message or create a new email
- Click the drop down menu next to "From"
- Select the disposable address from the list, then compose and send your message
Messages sent to your disposable email addresses will be delivered to your Inbox or the folder you chose when you created the address.
