If you or someone else in your home has been making lots of repeat calls or calling premium rate numbers, we offer some services that can help. 

 

Network Controlled Calling (NCC)

  • Set up a list of up to 10 UK numbers that can be called from your BT landline 
  • This list can be changed once every six months
  • You'll only be able to call your 10 numbers, emergency services (999 or 112) and our fault repair service (151)
  • Incoming calls aren't affected

123 & 118 call barring

  • Bar all premium rate numbers beginning 123 or 118
  • Premium rate numbers include the Speaking Clock and Directory Enquiries

BT Basic call barring

  • Set a monthly price cap on your outgoing calls
  • When you have reached this cap, calls will be blocked 
  • BT Basic is a low-cost monthly line rental with free weekend calls

To apply for BT Basic, call us on 0800 800 864, 8am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays, and we'll send an application form, or go to our downloads page. Only the named BT account holder can apply for BT Basic.
