Fix problems with YouView

If your box is slow and unresponsive, try these steps to fix it:

  • Try restarting your box. Switch it off at the mains and wait 10 seconds before switching it back on. Sometimes a reboot does the trick

Is the software up to date? Make sure your box has the latest software by:

  • Pressing the Home (Youview) button
  • Going to Settings > Software Information > Update Software
  • Pressing OK to download any available updates


If your box is still slow after carrying out these steps, the last thing to try is a full reset. Please bear in mind that you'll lose recordings and other settings on your box by doing a full reset.
