Anthony Yarde will aim to secure one of the most impressive victories by a British fighter in a world title fight in recent memory tonight as he takes on the three-belt light-heavyweight world champion Artur Beterbiev exclusively live on BT Sport.

That is the scale of the task facing the 31-year-old power puncher when he steps into the ring at Wembley Arena this evening, such is the quality and calibre of the IBV, WBC and WBO king Beterbiev, whose 18 career wins have all come inside the distance.

It will also be Yarde’s second bite of the cherry at world level having narrowly come up short during a valiant defeat to Sergey Kovalev in Russia three years ago.

However, since then has pieced together a 5-1 run with each victory coming inside the distance, putting himself right back in the mix for a world title against one of the sport's pound-for-pound champions.

Canadian-Russian fighter Beterbiev, 38, is an equally fearsome finisher with an incredible 18-fight knockout streak to embellish his glowing ledger, most recently making light work of former WBO champion Joe Smith Jr inside two rounds last June.

Who will land the first blow of the bout? Can Yarde sting the ageing destroyer - or will Beterbiev prove to be levels above the hometown challenger?

When is Beterbiev vs Yarde?
