Joseph Parker will be aiming to add to his impressive career record when he takes on Joe Joyce in a highly-anticipated heavyweight clash live on BT Sport Box Office.

The 30-year-old held the WBO heavyweight title from 2016 until 2018, when he suffered his first ever loss against Anthony Joshua.

That was followed by defeat to Dillian Whyte shortly after, concluding the most difficult spell of Parker’s career.

But he has excelled since then, fulfilling the potential he had shown up until his clash with Joshua.

The New Zealander was a star at regional level early in his career, and became the first ever heavyweight boxer from his country to win a major world championship when he beat Andy Ruiz Jr for the WBO heavyweight title.

He made his professional debut with a TKO win inside two minutes against Dean Garmonsway in New Zealand, following that up with a further three knockout victories in his home country.

In 2016, Parker made his mark on the big stage with victory over Ruiz Jr in Auckland to take the heavyweight title.

After dominating in Oceania, Parker’s first fight in England came against Tyson Fury’s cousin Hughie Fury in 2017, which he won to take his record to 24-0.
