BT Sport has secured the exclusive UK broadcasting rights to the V10 R-League, a brand new and exciting sim racing format that will see some of the biggest constructor names in motorsport go head to head on the virtual track.
Devised by eSports media business Gfinity, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management, the V10 R-League will feature the likes of Red Bull Racing Esports, Williams Esports, Racing Point, JEASA Suzuki and Fordzilla compete on digital versions of some of the world’s most iconic tracks in a league format.
Season one of the V10 R-League will air as-live on BT Sport starting Monday 7th September 7th. Round 1 – Monza will be shown from 7pm on BT Sport 2, with Round 2 – Brands Hatch airing the following week.

Highlights of all four matches will be shown in the two-hour show, featuring live on-set analysis from host Rachel Stringer and racing experts Nick Hamilton and Ben Daley. The full matches will then be made available for anyone to watch for free on Tuesday morning on btsport.com and the BT Sport app.
Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “Lockdown has demonstrated a huge appetite for virtual motorsport, and we are delighted to expand our innovative work with Gfinity to bring this exciting new sim racing format to UK fans exclusively to BT Sport subscribers on Mondays and free to all online the next morning.”
Played on the Asseto Corsa game, each match will consist of three original race challenges, in which two teams will go head to head.
Each team will provide three drivers who must compete across all three races, ensuring that drivers and teams will have to devise new strategies for some of the world’s most iconic circuits.
Teams will compete in a round robin format, earning points until one team is crowned champion, earning their share of the £100,000 prize pool.
The V10 R-League will use a new car designed specifically for the league – an open-wheeled single seater with a completely unique and bespoke design and the added fan favourite of a V10 power unit.
The professional sim drivers will race from home on a full racing rig, with their camera and audio feeds controlled live from Gfinity’s TV studio in Fulham, London.
