Everton v Liverpool

Saturday, 11.30am (12.30pm KO)

TV: BT Sport 1 HD, BT Sport Ultimate

Live Stream: btsport.com and BT Sport app

The Premier League returns from the international break with arguably the most evenly contested Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool in years.

Champions Liverpool are reeling after a shock 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa last time out and they will be desperate to get back on track against fierce rivals Everton who are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League after a perfect start.

The Toffees look renewed under Carlo Ancelotti who assumed the reigns at Goodison Park in December last year. Summer signing James Rodriguez has starred while England forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in prolific form in front of goal.

Optimism is high at Everton who go into the derby three points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool who were without Sadio Mane and new signing Thiago against Aston Villa after they contracted coronavirus.

Your Premier League weekend kicks off on BT Sport after a two-week hiatus with one of the biggest games of the season so far.

Can Liverpool bounce back from their Villa Park humiliation and clip the wings of their high-flying rivals? Or will Everton continue their stunning early season form at the expense of Jurgen Klopp’s side?

Chelsea v Southampton (Saturday, 3pm KO) and Sheffield United v Fulham (Sunday, 12pm KO) will also be shown live on BT Sport Box Office.

We’re bringing you all the action as the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup seasons draw to a close this weekend.

First up, Bristol Bears go in search a maiden European trophy against RC Toulon in the Challenge Cup Final. Pat Lam’s men were heavily beaten by Wasps in the Premiership semi-final last time out and they will be determined to end an impressive season with some silverware.

With Fijian superstar Semi Radradra in their ranks alongside the likes of Nathan Hughes, Charles Piutau, Max Malins and Ben Earl, Bristol should prove to be a real handful for three-time Champions Cup winners Toulon at Stade Maurice-David in France.

The next day, Exeter Chiefs begin their quest for a historic domestic and European double when they take on Racing 92 in the Champions Cup final at Ashton Gate.

Rob Baxter’s side, who were only promoted to the Premiership in 2010, have been so impressive this season and they’re favourites to claim a first European crown against French powerhouses Racing only one week before they face Wasps in the Premiership final at Twickenham.

The French side are also looking to lift the trophy for the first time and they have a wealth of attacking options in their arsenal including Scottish international Finn Russell.

Don’t miss what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of rugby as two English clubs look to conquer Europe for the very first time.

UFC Fight Night: Ortega v Jung

Saturday, 10pm

TV: BT Sport 2 HD

Live Stream: btsport.com and BT Sport app

The long-awaited featherweight clash between No. 2 ranked Brian Ortega and No. 4 ranked The Korean Zombie headlines UFC Fight Night from Fight Island on Saturday night.

The pair were scheduled to fight in South Korea last December, but Ortega was forced to withdraw due to an injury.

In an interesting subplot, Ortega allegedly slapped Korean American rapper Jay Park, translator for Korean Zombie, during an altercation at UFC 248 in Las Vegas.

Fan favourite Korean Zombie has ended 14 of his 16 wins before the final bell, including sensational stoppage victories over Frankie Edgar, Dustin Poirier, Leonard Garcia and Mark Hominick.

Ortega, meanwhile, last fought nearly two years ago when he lost to Max Holloway in a thrilling four-round war at UFC 231. The 29-year-old will aim to put his rivalry with Korean Zombie to bed with victory on his return to the Octagon and put his name in the hunt for another title shot.

Also on the card, No. 1 ranked contender Katlyn Chookagian takes on former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade who is hoping to make an immediate impact in the 125-pound division.

Undefeated heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane takes on UFC newcomer Ante Delija and Jimmy Crute meets Modestas Bukauskas in a light heavyweight contest.

MotoGP of Aragon

Sunday, 9.15am

TV: BT Sport 2 HD

Live Stream: btsport.com and BT Sport app

A wildly unpredictable MotoGP season is approaching the home straight with only five races of a curtailed 2020 season left.

French rider Fabio Quartararo leads the standings on 115 points, 10 clear of Spaniard Joan Mir in second and 18 ahead of Andrea Dovizioso in third.

It was Ducati’s Danilo Petrucci who won at Le Mans last weekend though, with Quartararo finishing ninth. The 29-year-old Italian became the seventh different winner in the nine races in another indicator that the 2020 season could go down to the wire.

The circuit moves to Aragon, Spain this week for the first of back-to-back races as the season approaches an unmissable crescendo.

We’ve already seen debut winners, horrifying crashes and stunning drama this season and the fastest show on two wheels is set for another thrilling act in north-eastern Spain.

As usual, we have full and unabridged coverage of all the build-up to the big race, including the Free Practice sessions, Qualifying and Warm-Ups.
