To soothe those post-Christmas blues, we have a Boxing Day Premier League triple-header beginning with Leicester v Man Utd.

It will be second versus third at the King Power as Brendan Rodgers' Foxes look to maintain their one-point lead over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's resurgent Red Devils.

Following that, Pep Guardiola's Man City return to BT Sport against recent bogey team Newcastle United.

Steve Bruce's men have managed to frustrate their free-flowing rivals a number of times in recent seasons but their record at the Etihad leaves a lot to be desired.

Can the Mags produce a belated Christmas miracle or will it be business as usual in the blue half of Manchester?

Kicking off at the same time, Everton fans will be treated to their third appearance on BT Sport inside a month when they travel to struggling Sheffield United seeking to heap pressure on Chris Wilder's winless Blades.

The infamous second season struggles have struck venomously at Bramall Lane with Wilder's men the only side yet to win in the league this season.

But their poor form can't last forever - can it? - as they seek to pick up momentum during a festive fixture flurry that could see them take huge strides towards Premier League safety.

As usual, every single Premier League game will be available to watch on BT TV over the Christmas and New Year period.

Australia v India, 2nd Test

BT Sport 2 HD, 11.15pm Christmas Day Friday-Tuesday

Test match cricket returns to BT Sport as the top-ranked nation in the world play host to number three as Australia and India renew their fierce rivalry.

After the series began with a day-night match in Adelaide, attention turns to Melbourne and the iconic MCG for one of the must-watch events in the global sporting calendar.

The annual Boxing Day Test is the most-watched event in Australian sport and it's set to be a thrilling encounter as India continue the defence of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The tourists won a Test series for the first time Down Under when the sides clashed two years ago and Australia will be determined to avenge that defeat this time around.

Day one coverage from the Melbourne Cricket Ground begins from 11.15pm on Christmas day with day two beginning at the same time on Boxing Day.

The hosts lead the series 1-0 after the first match saw India collapse to 36 all out - their lowest total in Test cricket - as Australia won by eight wickets.

And that’s not all in the way of cricket Down Under. The Big Bash is under way and we've got a double bill of T20 action on Boxing Day as Sydney Thunder take on Melbourne Renegades before Sydney Sixers face-off against Melbourne Stars.

You can watch every minute of drama from the world's best T20 competition over the next six weeks.

On top of a triple bill of top-flight action from the Premier League, there's a relegation six-pointer in the National League as Dover Athletic play host to Dagenham & Redbridge - live on BT Sport 1 HD from 5pm.
