Shakhtar Donetsk 0-0 Inter - Watch replay
Shakhtar Donetsk and Inter shared the spoils in a match marred by a injury to young striker Lassina Traore.
The hosts were reeling after suffering an opening-game defeat to Sheriff Tiraspol while Simone Inzaghi's side came off second best against Real Madrid.
Manor Solomon hit a post and Nicolo Barella's 25-yard strike cannoned off the bar in the first half, either side of the injury to Traore, who was landed on awkwardly by Denzel Dumfries and had to be stretchered off.
Milan Skriniar's remarkable defensive awareness prevented Pedrinho from opening the scoring from close range just after the break as Andriy Pyatov impressively denied Joaquin Correa and Stefan de Vrij in the closing stages.
Ajax 2-0 Besiktas - Watch replay
Ajax comfortably saw off Besiktas at the Johan Cruyff Arena to move top of Champions League Group C.
After thrashing Sporting Lisbon 5-1 in their opening group game in large part due to four strikes from Sebastien Haller, Erik ten Hag’s side dominated the opening exchanges and took the lead on 17 minutes when Steven Berghuis swept home for his second of this season’s competition from close after an excellent dribble and square pass from Dusan Tadic.
Tadic then somehow scuffed wide after Haller had crossed for him, but it didn’t matter as the former West Ham striker saw Berghuis’ whipped ball in go past Ersin Destanoglu.
Kenan Karaman thought he had halved the deficit midway through the second half, but the Turkey international was penalised for a foul in the build-up.
Ajax’s next match in the group is at home to Borussia Dortmund on 19 October, with Besiktas hosting Sporting the same day.
Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 Man City - Watch replay
Lionel Messi scored his first goal for PSG as Man City suffered their first Champions League group stage defeat since September 2018.
The goal, PSG's second in a convincing 2-0 win was Messi's 673rd of his club career and ended a three-game drought for his new club.
The victory ends a run of four consecutive Champions League matches without a win for PSG, who enjoyed their first victory since beating Bayern back in April.
Defeat for Pep Guardiola's side leaves them second in the group behind leaders PSG.
Porto 1-5 Liverpool - Watch replay

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring after Curtis Jones' menacing shot was palmed out into dangerous territory by Diogo Costa and the Egyptian capitalised on poor control from Zaidu Sanusi to bag his sixth goal in as many goals in all competitions for the Reds.
James Milner's cross then wasn't dealt with by anyone in the hosts' backline, with Sadio Mane tapping home into virtually an empty net just before the break.
Salah made it three just before the hour mark as Jones carried the ball upfield purposefully once more, finding the 29-year-old in space for him to finish confidently past Costa.
The hosts got one back through Mehdi Taremi before Roberto Firmino as the Brazilian seized on an awful mix-up and slid the ball past Costa from around 30 yards as he scrambled back in vain.
Firmino, who only replaced Salah on 67 minutes, rounded off the scoring in the closing stages and a win at Atletico Madrid in three weeks' time will put Jurgen Klopp's men on the cusp of qualification for the knockout stage.
Milan 1-2 Atletico Madrid - Watch replay

After Vinicius Junior was clumsily fouled midway through the second half, Karim Benzema stepped up to thump home the penalty.
It would perhaps be expected that an equaliser would have opened the floodgates.
However, Sebastien Thill had the last laugh, thumping a stunning half-volley from the edge of the box into Thibaut Courtois' top right-hand corner.
After their opening-game victory over Shakhtar, Sheriff now incredibly sit top of Group D on six points, with Carlo Ancelotti's side on three and the Ukrainians level with Inter on one.

Mahmoud Dahoud was forced off through injury early on as the visitors made a bright start, but Malen, a summer signing from PSV Eindhoven, broke the deadlock on 37 minutes as he received Jude Bellingham's precise pass on the edge of the area, took a touch and slid the ball past Antonio Adan.
Malen thought he had doubled his tally in the second period, but was flagged offside after heading home Marco Reus' cross.
