BT Sport to show midweek football feast including Premier League, Bundesliga and Supercoppa Italiana

After another riveting weekend, BT Sport customers can enjoy an unrivalled schedule of live football this midweek.

From the Premier League, to the Bundesliga and Supercoppa Italiana, settle in for what promises to be an unmissable stretch of live action as lockdown continues across the UK.

As usual, every game will be available to watch on TV and online on the award-winning BT Sport app and btsport.com.

Premier League

Both Manchester clubs are in action on Wednesday beginning with Pep Guardiola’s side who welcome Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium.

City moved up to second in the table with a comprehensive win over Crystal Palace at the weekend and look to be timing their title charge perfectly. Villa, meanwhile, haven’t played a league game since New Year’s Day due to a significant Covid-19 outbreak.

Later that evening, Man United travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham days after earning a point against champions Liverpool. Will Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s league leaders get back to winning ways?

Bundesliga

We have five matches on Wednesday, including Christian Gross’ rock-bottom Schalke v Cologne, Arminia Bielefeld v Stuttgart and Freiburg v Eintracht Frankfurt.

Table-toppers Bayern also visit Augsburg and second-placed Leipzig host Union Berlin.

Hansi Flick’s side bounced back from a surprise 3-2 defeat to Gladbach with a win against Freiburg and will be looking to continue their inexorable march towards a ninth consecutive league title with a win, while Leipzig will be desperate to stay hot on their heels against an impressive Union side.

Supercoppa Italiana

Juventus and Napoli meet in the 33rd Supercoppa Italiana – an annual match that pits the previous season’s Serie A champions against the Coppa Italia winners – in Reggio Emilia on Wednesday.

Juventus, who lost in the final against Lazio last term, have won the Supercoppa eight times and lost seven in their 15 attempts, while Napoli have won two of their three appearances so far.

Andrea Pirlo’s side have struggled for consistency in Serie A this season and they were beaten 2-0 by title rivals Inter Milan at the weekend, leaving them fifth in the table.

Napoli, on the other hand, have won their last three matches and they thrashed Fiorentina 6-0 on Sunday to move up to third, six points behind AC Milan and Inter.

Both sides now shift focus to the Supercoppa and with Cristiano Ronaldo, Lorenzo Insigne and co set to face off in the winner-takes-all showpiece, it is shaping up to be an unmissable encounter in northern Italy.

Coppa Italia

We’ve got even more Italian football this week, with a Coppa Italia last 16 tie on Thursday as Lazio look to make it four wins from four in all competitions against struggling Parma.

Simone Inzaghi’s side are firm favourites against a Parma side occupy 19th-place in Serie A and have only won two league matches all season.
