BT Sport to show celebrity Pro Evolution Soccer tournament featuring Antoine Griezmann, Mo Farah and Danny Care in bid to raise funds for global Covid-19 response

The world has never faced a crisis like COVID-19. The pandemic is impacting communities everywhere and it’s never been more urgent to support the global response.  

That's why BT Sport is proud to be the exclusive TV and digital broadcaster in the UK and an official partner of the Solidarity Challenge, a celebrity e-Sports competition designed to raise money for the UN Foundation Covid-19 Response Fund.

What is the Solidarity Challenge?

We're excited to be partnering with Solidarity Challenge to bring to life the world's biggest e-Sports celebrity tournament.  

This event is all about helping to bring together some of the biggest names from the world of sport and entertainment over the next few weeks with the goal of raising as much money as possible for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO (World Health Organisation).

The Solidarity Challenge will pit 16 well-known faces from sport and entertainment against each other to compete in a three-day on-line PES2020 tournament 

Donations support WHO’s work, to track and understand the spread of the virus; to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers get essential supplies and information; and to accelerate research and development of a vaccine and treatments for all who need them.

The Tournament 

- 16 players will compete in a knockout-style tournament.

- Players will each play a maximum of four games. 

- Each match will also include a pre-game and post-game interview with celebrities, dissecting the major talking points from each match.
