Premier League TV games: BT Sport announces coverage of eight live matches in April with Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City , Liverpool and Arsenal all in action

BT Sport will show eight Premier League matches exclusively live in April, including a mouth-watering double header on Easter weekend as we approach the business end of the season.

Runaway league leaders Man City will be in action in the first half of the month as well as top-four hopefuls Chelsea, Mikel Arteta's resurgent Arsenal, second-placed Man Utd plus two teams fighting for survival in Brighton and Fulham.

The second half of April sees Brendan Rodgers' Leicester resume their bid to leapfrog United into second.

Defending champions Liverpool continue their fight to muscle back in on the battle for top four before Aston Villa look to finish the season strongly and secure a top-half finish.

BT Sport’s Premier League matches in April:

City may be running away with the title but there's plenty still to play for as we summer approaches - not least a spot in Gareth Southgate's Euro 2021 England squad.

After a two-week international break the Premier League will return live and exclusively on BT Sport as Chelsea host West Brom at Stamford Bridge in the Saturday lunchtime kick off.

West Brom are on the brink having taken just one win from their last five games, with Sam Allardyce's proud record of never being relegated from the top flight in serious jeopardy.

Can the Baggies pull off an unlikely result to resuciatate their flatlinned survival bid or will the Blues march on towards Champions League qualification? 

An unmissable Easter weekend of football on BT Sport continues the next day as Chelsea's top-four rivals Manchester United welcome Brighton. 

With a nine-point cushion on fifth-placed West Ham United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils have their sights set on bitter rivals Man City as they look to close the gap on the league leaders.

A much-needed victory over Southampton ended a rotten run that had seen the Seagulls sucked into the relegation mire but Graham Potter's men will know their work is far from done with Fulham and Newcastle breathing down their necks.

Our April coverage continues in west London six days later when Scott Parker's Fulham go toe-to-toe with Wolves under the Friday night lights of Craven Cottage in the first part of a Premier League triple bill.

Having looked dead and buried a few months ago, rookie Cottagers boss Parker has masterminded a miraculous revival in Fulham's fortunes to lift them to within two points of safety. 

After a torrid start to life back in the Premier League, the west Londonders look the most likely side to escape the dropzone and they will be targeting an invaluable win in their bid to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

The second instalment that weekend sees champions elect Man City host Leeds United in the lunchtime kick off.

The reverse fixture back in October produced one of the games of the season as two of the most forward-thinking managers in the game pitted their wits against each other in a thrilling 1-1 draw at Elland Road.

If the return game at the Etihad is anywhere near as entertaining as their meeting six months earlier, then we're in for a treat.

Our weekend coverage concludes on Sunday 11 April, when rock-bottom Sheffield United welcome Arsenal to Bramall Lane. 

The Blades were last season's surprise package, avoiding the immediate return to the second tier that most had tipped them for.

Now United are preparing for life back in the Championship with former Leeds boss Paul Heckingbottom at the helm after Chris Wilder left the club following a run of just two points from 17 games left them on the brink of relegation.

Can the Blades put a dent in Arsenal's charge for Europe to salvage some pride or will Heckingbottom's men go down with a whimper? 

The April action comes to a close with three games across four days to take us into the final month of the season. 

On Thursday April 22 high-flying Leicester will be hoping to make light work of a West Brom side that looked doomed to relegation.

Then on Saturday Klopp's battered and bruised Reds resume the cursed defence of their trophy at home to a Newcastle side that may need all three points if they are to steer clear of the drop zone.

Aston Villa's west Midlands derby clash against West Brom on Sunday April 25 concludes our coverage for April as Dean Smith's men push for a strong finish to what has been an encouraging second season back in the top flight.
