Chelsea v Manchester City: Live stream, TV channel, kick-off time and how to watch the Premier League clash on BT Sport

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea welcome Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to Stamford Bridge in a blockbuster Premier League match-up, exclusively live on BT Sport.

Published: 4 September 2020 - 3.20pm

Frank Lampard's Chelsea play host to Manchester City in a mouth-watering heavyweight encounter on a night that could see Liverpool crowned Premier League champions.

Both sides have made a perfect start since the Premier League's return and neither team will want to give up their unbeaten record.

Hosts Chelsea are coming off the back of a come-from-behind win over struggling Aston Villa.

City, who have racked up eight goals in two games with eye-catching victories over Arsenal and Burnley, will be desperate to extend their winning sequence on Thursday night and prolong Liverpool's wait for a first top-flight title for 30 years.

The Citizens will officially relinquish their Premier League crown to Liverpool if Jurgen Klopp's side beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday and Guardiola's men fail to win at Stamdord Bridge a day later.

The visitors might also have to do without their club record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who picked up a knee injury in City's 5-0 demolition of Sean Dyche's Clarets on Monday.

Aguero's likely absence will be a huge blow for Guardiola given the diminuative Argentian's record against Chelsea.

The man they call 'Kun' has scored 10 goals in his last nine appearances against Chelsea in all competitions, including two hat-tricks in that run.

Brazilian Gabriel Jesus is likely to deputise up front while Phil Foden could be rewarded for his recent form with a starting berth.

Will Lampard's Blues cement their hold on fourth place with a victory or will City continue their mesmeric form to delay Liverpool's first league title in 30 years?
