Comparing Arsenal & Man City's Premier League title run-ins
Mar 24 | 2 min readEverton v Liverpool: Live stream, TV channel, kick-off time and how to watch the Merseyside derby on BT Sport
BT Sport kick off gameweek five of the Premier League season with one of the most hotly-anticipated Merseyside derbies in years as Everton host Liverpool.
The Premier League returns from the international break with a bang as Everton and Liverpool lock horns in one of the most highly-anticipated Merseyside derbies in recent memory.
Carlo Ancelotti's Toffees sit three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table having made a perfect start to the new campaign.
Bolstered by the arrival of midfield trio Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan and James Rodriguez, there is fresh optimism around Goodison that Everton can mount a serious challenge for Europe.
It will be 10 years to the day that Everton last won a Merseyside derby when the bitter rivals meet on 17 October but there is new hope that Ancelotti's high-flying Toffees could be the team to end that miserable run when they come up against the champions.
Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is flourishing under the tutelage of Ancelotti and will be hoping to extend his lead in the race for the Golden Boot when Jurgen Klopp brings his shell-shocked Reds to Goodison.
Saturday will be Liverpool's first outing in the league since they were hammered 7-2 by Aston Villa and Klopp will be looking for an immediate response with more than just city bragging rights at stake as Everton bid to maintain their unlikely title challenge.
Will Ancelotti's new-look Toffees inflict Liverpool's second successive league defeat to maintain their perfect start to the season or will Klopp's Reds return to winning ways?
