Sale Sharks' Champions Cup run ended in a deflating defeat to Top 14 side La Rochelle at Stade Marcel Deflandre on Saturday afternoon.
Raymond Rhule's double in the opening 12 minutes of the second half sent La Rochelle on their way to victory after a closer first half which saw the home side go nine points up before Sale clawed their way back into it.
Yet Alex Sanderson's men were ultimately left disappointed as they failed to produce a display like last week's stunning demolition of Scarlets and were dumped out at the last-eight stage.
Exeter Chiefs 22-34 Leinster

The holders are out of the Champions Cup after Exeter Chiefs suffered a home defeat to 2018 champions Leinster in a top-quality quarter-final.
Exeter went ahead through two Tom O'Flaherty tries to take a 14-0 lead at Sandy Park but Leinster fought back with Jonathan Sexton's, who was forced off with a head injury, replacement Ross Byrne kicking 17 points.
Jordan Larmour's outstanding double and James Lowe's try made sure of the win for the Irish visitors who march onto the semi-finals.

Matthieu Jalibert showed incredible nerve to kick Bordeaux Begles into a first-ever Heineken Champions Cup semi-final with the last play of the game.
With the sides level on points and the clock in the red, the fly-half enhanced his reputation further – following a breakout Six Nations – with the winning penalty.
The 22-year-old showed incredible consistency with the boot as he kicked all of the hosts’ points as they dumped out the favourites in a tight affair.
Having notched 22 points in the last 16 victory over Premiership leaders Bristol Bears last weekend he went one, well two, better this time around.
The victory sets up another all-French clash for Bordeaux who will face La Rochelle in the final four, a side they have already lost to twice in the Top 14 this campaign.
Clermont 12-21 Toulouse

Four-time European Cup winners Toulouse booked their place in the Champions Cup semi-finals at the expense of Top 14 rivals Clermont Auvergne on Sunday afternoon.
The French giants emerged victorious thanks to a magnificent display of kicking by Romain Ntamack, who scored every one of Toulouse's 21 points during a near flawless demonstration of his dead ball ability.
