Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor predictions: Who will win this must-see UFC 257 lightweight showdown?
Some of the biggest names in UFC put their necks on the line ahead of Saturday night's unmissable rematch between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, exclusively live on BT Sport Box Office

They don't call him 'Mystic Mac' for nothing.
Conor McGregor has earned a reputation for correctly predicting the outcome of many of his fights in the past and the MMA icon has already consulted his crystal ball ahead of his UFC 257 rematch against Dustin Poirier.
“I will knock Dustin out inside 60 seconds,” he told BT Sport.
Notorious is confident he will make short work of Poirier in the second instalment of their lightweight rivalry, but what do the rest of the UFC reckon?
“I think Conor. I think Conor gets it done. From the last fight, both of them improved, and Dustin has improved leaps and bounds.
"But I think Conor, his shots will still be too heavy for him, and I think he probably finishes him again. I think a later round this time, but I think he finishes him again.”
“I feel like so much has changed since the first fight. Dustin is one of the most durable guys in the whole division.
"I don’t see Conor being able to take him out like he did in the first fight. I feel like it’s going to be a war. I feel like it’s going to be a knockdown, drag-out fight that goes the distance. I feel like the fans are in for a treat with that one.
“Dustin Poirier beat me up so obviously I want him to do well because then it doesn’t make me look as s***!
"But on the other hand, in my opinion, skill-for-skill Conor McGregor is the more technical and he's the most skillful in the division since the champ has retired.
"Skill-for-skill, technique-for-technique, I feel like McGregor is the most difficult guy to beat.
"But considering Poirier’s cardio and his durability, I'd put my money on Poirier, but it’s close.”
“I’m liking Poirier, I really am. I think he’s just a different guy. It’s going to be exciting. It’s going to be an extremely competitive fight.
"But I think Dustin has made those improvements. He looked really good until he fought Khabib [Nurmagomedov], he looked unstoppable up until that point.
"He beat Justin Gaethje... I just really like Poirier in that fight.”
“I’m going to have to go with Conor. I feel like people don’t give Conor enough credit for how dynamic he can be.
"I’m not saying I’m looking past Dustin Poirier but Conor McGregor is pretty damn dynamic and he’s pretty crafty the way he goes about doing things.
"He’s also knocked out Poirier, but that was earlier in Dustin’s career.
"I think Dustin was very emotional in that fight with the trash-talking, but you know what, I’m going to have to watch that fight. I’ve got no idea who’s going to win it.”
“I don’t know. These are two really high-level fighters. Conor is so good and I do see him probably winning.
"But it’ll be interesting to see if Dustin rises to the occasion. I don’t think weight will be an issue.
"I think what’s different is their mindsets because of the places they are and the places they’ve gone since then. They’re much different people since that fight, you know, both of them.”
"Nobody predicts shots like Conor. He is the best in the world at reading an opponent.
"Poirier was good back then [first fight] and he is good now but Conor is going to do to him what he did in the first fight. Nothing's going to be different this time.
"A lot of time has passed but that won't affect the outcome, the outcome is going to be the same.
"You could send Poirier into a sanctuary with every psychologist in the world to help him forget about the first fight and still the result is going to be the same.
"Conor's skill is incredible. When Conor is prepared and ready, there's nobody who can stop him.
"To me, nobody can match him in the stand up. Poirier is a great fighter and a great guy but he will get stopped again... probably in 68 seconds this time."
“I think McGregor, for sure. We’ve already seen it once before.
"Poirier is obviously much improved since that last fight, so I think there’s a chance that Poirier wins but I would lean to McGregor for sure.”
"I think McGregor’s going to win. I think McGregor’s good, too.
"He’s one of those guys that doesn't just have a highlight reel of knockouts and moves and stuff, I think he’s also just a really high-level fighter.
"We like to see things too black and white in this sport sometimes and it’s really easy to write someone off as ‘oh, McGregor fought nd he got beat by Khabib and this and that’ but everyone who fought Khabib has been beaten by Khabib like that.
"Conor’s not someone to write off because he got beat by Khabib.”
