What is Two Weeks to Live about?
Two Weeks to Live is a darkly comic tale of love and revenge born from a harmless prank that goes terribly wrong. Kim (Maisie Williams) is a strange young misfit who was just a little girl when her father was murdered. After his death, her mother Tina (Sian Clifford) spirited her away to a remote life off-grid in the Scottish wilderness.
Fearing for her safety, Tina trained Kim in combat and kept her from the outside world with exaggerations and lies about the dangers of modern life. Now 21, Kim’s determined to experience everything she’s missed out on and sets off into the real world on a secret mission to honour her father’s memory.
Things get complicated when she meets hapless brothers Nicky (Mawaan Rizwan) and Jay (Taheen Modak). When a drunken prank goes spectacularly wrong, Kim’s rush to exact her revenge ends in violence. Bound by the mess they’ve created, the trio set in motion a chaotic series of events that puts all their lives in danger.
Hunted by the mysterious Brooks (Jason Flemyng) and Thompson (Thalissa Teixeira), associates of crime boss Jimmy Davies (Sean Pertwee), Kim must reunite with her controlling mum if they are all to survive.
Who are the cast and characters in Two Weeks to Live?
Kim Noakes - Maisie Williams
Fearless, capable and utterly unaffected, 21-year-old Kim has grown-up in almost total isolation from the outside world. Spoon-fed lies about the dangers beyond the forest and trained in all forms of combat by her survivalist mum, what she really needs is a friend.
Despite her close bond with her mum, Kim is determined to break free and experience everything she’s missed out on while growing up. She has a list of things she wants to do in the real world - ranging from eating candy floss to avenging her father’s death.
But when she finally runs away, she soon discovers through the unlikely companionship of two brothers, Nicky and Jay, that people aren’t quite what she expected.
Kim is played by English actress Maisie Williams, best known for playing Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, along with roles in The Falling, Doctor Who, iBoy, Mary Shelley, Early Man and Then Came You.
Tina Noakes - Sian Clifford
Kim’s untamed and unpredictable mother Tina can be foul-tempered and foul-mouthed but with good reason. Following the murder of her husband, Tina cut herself off from the modern world and decided to raise her daughter in almost total isolation.
She is fiercely critical of the way ‘normal people’ live and ferociously protective of Kim, going to extraordinarily coercive lengths to keep her safe. While on the surface, Tina is not to be messed with, her formidable energy masks a deep-seated fear of losing the one she loves the most.
Tina is played by Sian Clifford, best known for playing Claire in Fleabag, along with roles in Quiz (she played Diana Ingram), as well as Liar, Vanity Fair and Hitmen.
Nicky Malik is played by Mawaan Rizwan (Next of Kin), while his brother Jay Malik is played by Taheen Modak (The Bay). They're joined by Sean Pertwee (Dog Soldiers) as Jimmy Davies, and Jason Flemyng (Save Me) as Brooks. Thompson is played by Thalissa Teixeira (Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw) and Beth is played by Kerry Howard (Witless).
