Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux tackle Watergate in White House Plumbers
May 3 | 4 min readPrepare for a bad case of cultural and culinary envy as Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan return to our screens in The Trip to Greece, coming soon to Sky One and NOW TV.
The comedians embark on a road trip around the country’s mainland for a fresh helping of gastronomic adventures, playing fictionalised versions of themselves in the fourth and final series of the much-loved TV comedy.
But for those who’ve missed out on the previous three seasons - or if you need a little reminder of the pair's travels - here’s the story of The Trip so far...
Series 1: The Trip (2010)

Cast your minds back an entire decade, and The Trip began with the funnymen exploring the scenery of northern England's Lake District and the Pennine mountains.
Starting its run on BBC Two, The Trip season 1 saw Coogan asked by The Observer to tour the country's finest restaurants.
But after Coogan's (fictional) girlfriend backed out of the culinary tour, he had to take his best friend, and source of eternal aggravation, Rob Brydon.
The pair explored the Trough of Bowland, Cartmel, Keswick, Kirkby Lonsdale, Pateley Bridge and Helton in the series, which was also made into a feature film.
All six episodes of The Trip season 1 are streaming now on Netflix.
Series 2: The Trip to Italy (2014)

The bickering continued in the second season of The Trip, where the pair enjoyed six meals on a bellissimo road trip around Italy.
Coogan and Brydon were commissioned to do another restaurant tour, following in the 19th century footsteps of those great Romantic poets, Shelley and Byron.
The pair explored Liguria, Tuscany, Rome, Amalfi and Capri, all the while driving in a convertible Mini with a spot of Alanis Morrisette karaoke.
There were plenty of familiar gags from the first series. Expect more James Bond impressions (Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan), a homage to the Batman comics (Christian Bale as Batman and Michael Caine as Alfred) and the Godfather.
All six episodes of The Trip to Italy are streaming now on Netflix.
Series 3: The Trip to Spain (2017)

For the third season, the duo ventured from Getaria to Malaga in Spain, securing Rob Brydon a BAFTA nomination for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme.
The six-part series saw the pair sample the restaurants, eateries and sights during their Spanish road tour from the North Atlantic to the Mediterranean coast.
Coogan and Brydon visited Cantabria, the Basque region, Aragon, Rioja and Castile La Mancha before ending their journey in Andalucia.
From Mick Jagger and Hugh Grant to more of Michael Caine and James Bond, the pair’s impersonation face-offs returned.
All six episodes of The Trip to Spain are streaming now on NOW TV and Sky Go.
Series 4: The Trip to Greece (2020)

The fourth and final series of The Trip sees the pair head off on a road trip through mainland Greece.
The bickering comics dine on cuisine traditional to beautiful Greek hot spots, taking in the delights of Assos, Kavala, Stagira, Athens, Epidaurus, Hydra and Pylos.
It’s sure to satisfy viewers’ palates as the duo lock horns over tragedy, comedy, myth and history, all the while seasoned with laughter, impressions and sparkling conversation.
The Trip to Greece premieres Tuesday, March 3 at 10pm on Sky One with NOW TV.
