The Boys season 2 is one of the most highly anticipated TV events of 2020.

Billy the Butcher, Hughie and The Boys are back for another battle against the super-powered and seriously twisted The Seven - a gang of truly wicked and corrupt superheroes looked after by the rich and powerful Vought business empire.

Season 1 was a phenomenal hit last year for Prime Video and a third season has already been confirmed.

The Guardian described the show as “gleeful, violent and blackly comic, a raucous rocket full of Kryptonite”. Den of Geek said it was “gory, diabolical, and unapologetically blunt with an undercurrent of social commentary.”

And at BT TV, we said: “Rude, lewd and extremely naughty, The Boys is the perfect antidote to the superhero genre overload.”

If you want to know why we’re raving about this wild and outrageous comic book series, we’ve got a taster of the show for BT customers who are thinking about adding Prime Video to their TV package.

The first three episodes of season one are on the BT Player now.

Why are people excited about The Boys season 2?

The even more intense, more insane Season 2 finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought.

In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control.

His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalise on the nation’s paranoia.

The Supes of The Seven also include Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell).
