Strictly Come Dancing may only just be getting started, but reality TV fans’ eyes are already on ITV’s answer to the celebrity contest – so who is taking part in Dancing On Ice 2020?

It won’t begin airing until the New Year, but the cast has already been confirmed, so we know who is taking to the ice this year.

Get to know your 2020 ice stars a little better with our guide to the line-up.

Michael Barrymore - OUT DUE TO INJURY

Sadly, Michael Barrymore will not be taking part in Dancing on Ice 2020 because he broke his wrist during training for the series.

Michael joins an unenviable group of celebrities to be ruled out due to injury from the slippery show, which includes Keith Chegwin, Monty Panesar, and Michael Underwood.

Viewers will see him in the pre-recorded launch show, but after that his spot on the live shows will be taken by ex-Blue Peter presenter Radzi Chinyanganya who will skate with Jessica Hatfield, while Michael's partner Alex Murphy will stay on as another professional.

Presenter Michael has had many years away from the limelight, after party guest Stuart Lubbock died in his swimming pool in 2001, and this was to be his big showbiz return.

The notable exception is when he took part in Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, where he came second.

But earlier this summer, he was a guest on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, where he apologised for Stuart’s death (which he was not charged for), and has since said he feels the time is right to return to work.

Radzi Chinyanganya - CONFIRMED

It's a late entry for ex-Blue Peter presenter Radzi, who is standing in for Michael Barrymore after he was forced to quit due to injury.

Radzi will have his work cut out over the Christmas holidays frantically trying to get his skating up to speed with everyone else's over just a couple of weeks.

But as Kelvin Fletcher proved when he replaced injured Jamie Laing on Strictly, joining the party late doesn't necessarily need to put you at a disadvantage.

The 32-year-old is a big sports fan, having presented the London 2012 weightlifting, been an interviewer for WWE, and worked on Sky's NBA coverage.

H from Steps - CONFIRMED

It’s a pretty regular occurrence that Dancing On Ice stars mirror their Strictly celeb counterparts, and after Steps’ Faye Tozer wowing in the BBC series last year, her former bandmate is taking up the baton in the ITV contest.

Ian “H” Watkins has been out of the spotlight for some time, but his infectious energy is perfect for Dancing On Ice.

Not only does he have performing experience from his popstar days, he’s also retrained in musical theatre and taken on a number of high-profile stage roles.

Maura Higgins - CONFIRMED

Early in the Dancing on Ice rumours, it looked like Amber Gill would be this year’s Love Islander swapping bikinis for skates.

But the show winner has not made the final cut, with the honour instead going to her friend from the villa Maura Higgins.

Maura gained a huge number of fans for her straight-talking ways in the villa and has been a TV hit since leaving, so her Dancing on Ice star turn should cement her status as the dating series’ biggest name of 2019.

Kevin Kilbane - CONFIRMED

Former footballer Kevin Kilbane is one of the new signings for the 2020 Dancing on Ice season.

The Premiership player’s old clubs include Everton and Sunderland, and he’s the third most capped Irish player after Robbie Keane and Shay Given.

Now he’s retired from the game, Kevin works as a pundit for BBC Radio Five Live, Match of the Day, Football Focus, and Final Score, among others.

Lucrezia Millarini - CONFIRMED

Journalist Lucrezia Millarini will be hoping to make the headlines rather than read them when she stars in the new series.

She is a news anchor for ITV, regularly presenting the main 6pm bulletin as well as the ITV Lunchtime News and the ITV Weekend News.

Lisa George - CONFIRMED

This year’s soap star contestant hails from the cobbles of Coronation Street once again.

Lisa George plays Beth Tinker in the ITV show and is currently involved in a heartbreaking storyline where she discovered her niece Sinead’s cancer had returned on her wedding day.

The actress will have plenty of castmates who can offer advice on skating after competing in previous series, including last year’s contestant Jane Danson.

Perri Kiely - CONFIRMED

Talented dancer Perri Kiely first found fame in another reality show, Britain’s Got Talent, which he and his dance troupe Diversity won in 2009.

Perri was just a child at the time, but wowed audiences with his daredevil back flips and leaps, and the group have become huge stars since.

Of course, Perri’s good friend and Diversity co-star Ashley Banjo is one of the judges on Dancing on Ice which is going to cause some favouritism controversy, but honestly, we can’t see him being anything other than brilliant at this.

Added to his dancing skills, Perri also won celebrity diving contest Splash! in 2014, proving that he has the nerves of steel needed to shine on the ice.

Dancing on Ice fans had guessed that the chirpy ex-EastEnder would be taking part after a hint on the show's Instagram, and the rumours have turned out to be true.

Joe has already tasted victory on another ITV show, I'm a Celebrity, where he was crowned King of the Jungle, and is now a regular presenter on the spin-off series.

He's just welcomed a new baby with Stacey Solomon, so the lack of sleep could play havoc with Joe's training schedule.

Trisha Goddard - CONFIRMED

Once the queen of daytime TV, chat show host Trisha may have been out of the spotlight for a few years now, but that's all about to change come the New Year.

Trisha has said she's up for the physical challenge and as a keen runner and cyclist, it looks like she'll already have an advantage with her high level of fitness.

It sounds like she'll be taking training super seriously and is in it to win it.

Ben Hanlin - CONFIRMED

If you're looking for magic on the ice this series, you're sure to find it in Ben Hanlin.

The magician has signed up to the 2020 show and will bring plenty of personality to his performances as a seasoned TV star used to pulling off amazing tricks.

He's best known for his show Tricked and is a breakfast presenter on radio station Capital Birmingham.

Libby Clegg - CONFIRMED

Gold-medal-winning Paralympian Libby is used to a tough training schedule and pushing her fitness to the limits, so we're looking forward to her efforts on the ice.

She's a sprinter who has won medals at three different Paralympic games, including two Golds in Rio.

Libby is registered blind, making her decision to compete in the notoriously tough TV contest even more impressive.

Model Caprice was the final celebrity confirmed for Dancing on Ice and is now a London resident, where she runs her lingerie business By Caprice.

She has plenty of experience in reality TV, with credits to her name including Splash!, The Jump, Celebrity Big Brother, Celebs on the Farm, and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

Caprice has also been on the other side of the judges' desk for Project Catwalk, Britain's Next Top Model, and Style Wars.

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV on January 5, 2020.
