The best family films to watch in the BT TV Player
Jul 21 | 2 min readWe’ve been taken out on the “lash” with the lads and lasses of Geordie Shore since 2011.
In that time, the lives of the original cast have been transformed since they burst onto our TV screens with their “tashing on” and kebab-munching antics.
But where are the original castmates now? We take a look back at the lineup from series 1 and find out.
Vicky Pattison
Vicky Pattison shot to fame as an original cast member of Geordie Shore, but quit the show at the end of series nine.
She has since gained more fame by starring in MTV’s Ex on the Beach, and even had her own show called Judge Geordie.
She is now a regular panellist on Loose Women, has won I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and even branched out into acting with a stint on Comedy Central’s Drunk History.
Vicky is a regular guest presenter on This Morning and has her own fitness series Ex on the Beach: Body SOS.
Gaz Beadle
Another member of the cast who has been on the show since the very beginning, Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle has had his fair share of ups and downs!
His on-off relationship with Charlotte Crosby was at the cornerstone of the series for half a decade.
He has also released a book, a music video - ‘Party Like a Rockstar (Up Your Game)’ – and recently admitted that his mum is the biggest fan of Geordie Shore.
Gaz finally quit the show after 15 series in 2017, and soon after became dad to Chester with Emma McVey, who is expecting their second child in 2019.
Greg Lake

He only lasted the first series and a Magluf Madness special, but Greg was part of the cast who launched Geordie Shore to the world.
He quit the show because he didn’t feel he fitted in with the others - he wasn’t keen on the fake tan and extra large muscles. “They’re canny lads, but they're not the type of lads I would go drinking with on a night out,” he said.
He has remained in the spotlight since leaving the show thanks his relationship with Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe. The couple had their first child, baby boy Daye in 2017.
Holly Hagan

Holly Hagan used to work at HM Revenue and Customs until, at the age of 18, she was selected to be one of the first stars of Geordie Shore.
She’s featured in almost every episode of the MTV reality series and has had a tumultuous love life, including a relationship with fellow cast member Kyle Christie.
She also hasn’t ruled out a stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, saying: “I wouldn’t say never, but I’d never leave Geordie Shore to go on it.”
In 2014, she dabbled in a pop career with her cover version of Kelis’ Milkshake and she’s also released her autobiography Holly Hagan: Not Quite A Geordie Book.
More recently she told the Daily Star online that she’d be keen to flex her vocal talents on Celebrity X Factor if her Geordie castmates Charlotte Crosby and Sophie Kasaei joined her.
In 2018, she stunned fans on Instagram with photographs that many couldn't genuinely believe were her. Her body and facial transformation has brought lots of tabloid attention.
James Tindale

After joining the show in series one, James Tindale left Geordie Shore at the end of series 10.
He cited the reason for wanting to quit the show was down to a change in lifestyle – which has also completely changed his look.
“When I first walked into the house I was really excited – we were going out every night and we didn't want it to end," he said recently.
"But for the past few series I've been counting down the days until it's over – I've moved on."
After splitting with his longtime girlfriend, Tindale – who runs his own gym and owns a clothing line, God’s Gift - changed his mind and reappeared on the 2018 series.
Charlotte Crosby

One of the most popular cast members for the first seven series, Sophie also landed an MTV documentary about the battle for the perfect body in Get Thin or Die Tryin.
She has also designed clothing lines with Off The Rails Boutique and House of SHB, as well as being a party planner for Geordie Shore Tours.
She also has a hair and beauty website, and travels to Australia twice a year for club appearances.
Sophie returned to the main show for series 13 and is now the only original still on the show.
Jay Gardner

One of the original lads on the show, Jay departed the show to be with his girlfriend Chloe, returned briefly and made a full goodbye in series 7.
He went into business with fellow Geordie Shore star Ricci Guardnaccio and has also launched his own male fake tanning line.
Sophie Kasaei
