Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux tackle Watergate in White House Plumbers
May 3 | 4 min readIt’s 20 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – the first film in the boy wizard’s franchise – hit the big screen. To mark the occasion, the cast and crew of the eight Harry Potter films got back together to talk about the making of the movies, the effect the films had on their lives and what they have been up to since we last visited Hogwarts in 2011.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts brings stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) back together on the set of the movies as they discuss their part in bringing JK Rowling’s Wizarding World to life.
From their first impressions of each other to the life-long bond between them, the trio’s conversations prove to be as fascinating as they are emotional.

In addition, producer David Heyman and the films’ four directors - Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell and David Yates – also appear.

Where was it filmed?

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts was filmed on the actual sets of the Harry Potter movies which now form the Warner Bros Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter exhibition at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire.
All eight movies were filmed at Leavesden, and after the final film in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, was completed, work began on organising the sets, props and costumes from the series into an exhibition. The tour opened in March 2012 and thousands of fans have walked through Hogwarts’ Great Hall, down Diagon Alley and into Gringotts Bank ever since.
Much of the reunion was filmed on these original sets – Radcliffe, Watson and Grint reminisce in the Gryffindor common room, for instance, and the cast and crew assemble in the Great Hall just as they did on their first day at Hogwarts.
