Natasia Demetriou is an English-Cyrpriot comedian, actress and screenwriter, who you might recognise from her various movie and TV appearances.

The London-born comic studied acting at Leeds University before going to Bristol University where she was part of a sketch troupe alongside her actor/comedian brother, Jamie Demetriou (Fleabag).

Since then, she’s starred in acclaimed film and TV series including The Big Flower Fight, What We Do in the Shadows, and Stath Lets Flats.

We look back at some of the top movies and TV shows starring Natasia Demetriou.

What We Do in the Shadows

One of Natasia’s best-known roles is vampire Nadja in What We Do in the Shadows, which premiered on FX in the United States, and BBC Two in the UK, in 2019.

Adapted from the film of the same name, the mockumentary horror TV series follows a group of vampire roommates living in New York City.

Natasia's character Nadja is the matron of the vampire household, who rules the roost with her vampire lover Laszlo (Matt Berry).

What We Do in the Shadows season 1 is streaming on BBC iPlayer now.

Season 2 premieres in the UK on Thursday, June 11 at 10pm on BBC Two.

Stath Lets Flats

Natasia joined her actor/comedian brother Jamie Demetriou to play Sophie in the Bafta-nominated Channel 4 sitcom Stath Lets Flats.

The TV comedy follows incompetent Greek-Cypriot lettings agent Stath (Jamie) who works for the family business, Michael and Eagle.

Natasia's character Sophie is Stath's cheery sister, who doesn't actually work at the lettings agent but is still expected to help her family out.

Stath Lets Flats seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on All4 now.

The Big Flower Fight

Switching acting for presenting, Natasia currently co-hosts Netflix’s floristry competition series The Big Flower Fight alongside comedian Vic Reeves.

The Bake-Off style series sees 10 creative teams square off in a larger-than-life contest to create huge flower installations.

In an exclusive interview with BT.com, Natasia described the pair’s role as like "the Ant and Dec of Netflix". Both hosts are hoping for a second series of the feel-good, nature-focused TV series.

The Big Flower Fight is streaming on Netflix now.

The Festival

In a rare movie role, Natasia became somewhat accustomed to bright blue body paint to play the role of Bride Smurf in the 2018 film The Festival.

Created by the same people who made The Inbetweeners, The Festival follows Nick (Joe Thomas), who's been dumped by his girlfriend and spends three days at an epic music festival to get over her.

Natasia's character is part of a hen party dressed as smurfs who Nick bumps into at the festival.

The Festival is available to buy from Amazon Prime Video.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Natasia reunites with her actor brother Jamie Demetriou in the upcoming Netflix film, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

The film stars Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as two aspiring musicians who are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition.

Natasia's character is called Nina, while Jamie's is called Kevin. It's not yet known whether they play on-screen siblings.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga premieres Friday, June 26 on Netflix.
