While the Covid-19 pandemic didn’t stop the BAFTAs taking place last year, they did go ahead with social distancing measures in place.

But this year, with Covid guidelines relaxed, film fanatics and the some of the world's biggest movie stars are set to descend on the red carpet at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

This weekend sees the 75th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) take place, which will honour the best national and foreign films that were screened at British cinemas in 2021.

Sci-fi epic Dune leads the way with 11 nominations, followed by Netflix’s western The Power of the Dog, while Benedict Cumberbatch, Stephen Graham, and Lady Gaga are all up for acting nods.

Here, we reveal all you need to know about the 2022 BAFTA Awards - including how to watch at home, who’s hosting the awards, who’s performing, the full list of nominations, and more.

Who's hosting the BAFTAs 2022?

Actress and comedian Rebel Wilson will make her BAFTAs presenting debut as she hosts this year’s ceremony. The Australian star is known for roles in the Pitch Perfect films, and Bridesmaids.

“It’s going to be so much fun! I don’t wanna put any pressure on this – I know I’m not going to be funny because I am no longer fat,” the actress joked in a statement.

“And besides, I’m not going to ‘sweat-it’ with nerves because I have a peculiar medical condition where I can’t sweat… or cause offense to people because of my adorable Australian accent.”
