Top Boy 3 confirmed: What you need to know
May 2 | 5 min readA joyous family comedy, Yes Day is about an unofficial annual holiday that is every child’s dream – a day where your parents have to say yes to every request.
The movie is streaming now on Netflix and is perfect for anyone searching for an uplifting film, suitable for all ages.
Like Christmas and birthdays rolled up into one, it’s an event that the star of Yes Day Jennifer Garner has implemented into her own family life.
Speaking US talkshow The View in 2018, Garner said: “I’m a strict mum. I say no all the time. There’s a book Yes Day, written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, it’s wish fulfilment like putting gel in your hair, choosing the cereal in the grocery store, all day long you say 'Yes'.
“I read it to my middle daughter and she would dream of Yes Day. ‘More than her birthday, more than Christmas, I want Yes Day’.
“So one year, I just gave it to them. And it was just silly stuff. Yes, we’re going to have ice cream for breakfast. Yes, we’re going to buy a lottery ticket. It’s silly, it’s the longest day of the year.”
