Thirty-three years after he first got called into action in Pontypandy, Fireman Sam returns with a new feature-length special.
Fireman Sam: Norman Price and the Mystery in the Sky is the latest action adventure for everyone’s favourite firefighter.
Featuring a very special guest star, the special is destined to be a huge hit this Christmas for the show’s legion of loyal young fans.
What happens in Fireman Sam: Norman Price and the Mystery in the Sky?
When Joe invents a new super battery, it catches the attention of Professor Polonium and her trusted but rather silly sidekick Dr Crumpton.
After stealing the super new battery, Dr Crumpton stages a series of accidents across the village so the Professor can sweep in to save the day. Now everyone in Pontypandy thinks they have their own comic book hero, who they affectionately name Flying-Man.
While Professor Polonium is wreaking havoc on Pontypandy, the untested suit malfunctions and ends up blasting all over the village causing lots of fires. Can the firefighters save Pontypandy and extinguish the flames?
Who is in the voice cast?
The multi-talented actress, presenter, singer and dancer, Denise Van Outen follows in the footsteps of David Tennant and John Barrowman and joins the voice cast of Fireman Sam.
Van Outen voices the character of wannabe superhero Professor Polonium.
“It’s a real privilege and honour to be asked to be part of Fireman Sam,” said Van Outen.
“The show is an institution for us in our family and I absolutely love it. My daughter Betsy is going to be so surprised when she finds out I have got a starring role. We always used to watch it together and I am definitely going to be the coolest mum at her school.
"I am thrilled to be playing Professor Polonium. She’s quite larger than life, very excitable, very opinionated and quite bossy, and she is out to make as much money as she possibly can," she said.
